2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport debuts at NY Auto Show
Mitsubishi has debut this year at the New York Auto Show the 2013 Outlander Sport which in some markets will be sold as the ASX or RVR. Starting with this July, the vehicle will be manufactured at the company’s facility in Illinois, United States.
Design-wise, not much has changed in comparison to the outgoing model as we only notice small differences on the front bumper, a tweaked grille and new fog lamps. At the back the bumper has been restyled while the black side sills now match the bumpers’ lower portions. In addition, the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport rides on a new set of 18-inch alloys. The automaker has also introduced two new paint finishes for the vehicle, called Quick Silver and White Pearl.
Inside the cabin we find a new All Wheel Control push button switch, chrome accent molding on the front doors and a richer assortment of fabric colors. The revised Outlander Sport also gets an updated rear multi-link suspension which promises to improve ride comfort and handling, while the CVT gearbox has been recalibrated for a smoother shift feeling and a more agile acceleration performance.
Under the hood it has the same 4-cylinder 2.0-liter gasoline power unit that develops 148 hp and a maximum torque of 145 lb.-ft.
