  • Ferrari's sending workers home for one week in November

We all know there’s a recession going on, some have even felt it in not-so-pleasant ways, but it seems that this drop in spending power has even affected the rich people, as Ferrari has just announced that because of low demand in the following time frame, the end of 2009 and beginning of 2010, it will send home many of its workers for one week.

This doesn’t mean that the Maranello plant will be empty, as the announcement focuses on those working in the engine manufacturing and paint department. Approximately 15% of the workers for the Italian company will be staying home between 9 and 13 November, and will return after that period.

This measure aims at reducing costs but also keeping the jobs of the current people employed by Ferrari at the manufacturing plant. Hopefully things will pick up in the future and such cases of sending people home will be a thing of the past.
