NY Auto Show – 2013 Nissan Altima
Nissan has introduced the sixth generation of the Altima at the New York Auto Show, which follows the footsteps of its predecessor which last year was the second bestselling car in the U.S. The engines have been borrowed from the model it replaces but these power units have been tweaked in order to be more fuel efficient.
Customers can get the new Altima with a 4-cylinder 2.5-liter DOHC engine that produces 182 hp (185 PS / 136 kW) that allows the car to return 38 mpg which is the best in this class. There’s also a more powerful V6 3.5-liter engine that delivers 270 hp (274 PS / 201 kW). Nissan has mentioned that the aerodynamics of the car have been improved, and we notice that the exterior styling is bulkier.
The entry-level 2013 Nissan Altima costs $21,500, while the high-end 3.5 SL CVT model will set you back at least $30,080. The midsize sedan is scheduled to go on sale later on this summer.
