Superchips Launches Power Upgrade For Audi A1 1.4 TFSI

Audi A1 1.4 TFSI by Superchips

If you have the 1.4 TFSI engine on your Audi A1 and you think that it should have more power, the engineers from Superchips have just the right thing for you. The British aftermarket specialists have unveiled this week a power upgrade that consists of a remapped ECU that increases the output of the engine by 26 hp and 28 Nm of torque, over the car’s standard 122 PS.

They mentioned that compared to the car that comes out from Audi’s factory, the one tweaked has more power to offer from as low as 2000 rpm up to the 6500 rpm rev limiter. As far as the extra torque, it is available between 1500 rpm and 6500 rpm. With this power upgrade, the Audi A1 is able to do the 0-62 mph sprint in 7.8 seconds, which is 1.1 seconds quicker than the standard car. They haven’t tested the car’s top speed but it will most likely go over the standard 126 mph. The fuel consumption of the Audi A1 1.4 TFSI by Superchips is 45 mpg UK.

The power kit is available for both the A1s with the 6-speed manual transmission or the 7-speed semi-automatic S-Tronic gearbox. The price tag is 455 pounds, with VAT.
