  • Toyota introduces FT-86 G Sports Concept in Tokyo

As you may know, the Tokyo Auto Salon is in full swing these days in the Japanese capital, gathering the best and brightest aftermarket tuning options from Asia.

Toyota couldn’t miss this convention and has revealed that it will launch several packages under the G Sports label, for many of its models. Not even the company’s rear-wheel drive coupe concept, the FT-86 has escaped, and is the centerpiece of the Toyota exhibit at the show.

Although no official details have been given about performance, it is expected that Toyota and its tuning partner, Gazoo, have turbocharged the Subaru-developed 2.0-liter boxer engine, and, as it can be seen, have fitted a new body kit on the attractive coupe.

Consisting of a restyled front and rear bumper, side skirts, enlarged wheel arches and a carbon fiber hood with air vents, the body kit definitely makes an impression. The FT-86 G Sports concept is sitting on a set of 19-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in Potenza RE050 tires, and houses a pair of Recaro seats inside.

In case you’ll be dropping by the Tokyo Auto Salon, be sure to check this new concept out.
