Toyota recalls 55,000 floor-mats
Toyota is planning to recall about 55,000 floor-mats because of about 40 complaints reports about the all-weather floor-mats not being secured and slipping under the acceleration pedal. You might find this funny, but this caused 8 crashes and 12 people were injured.
This problem affects floor mats sold with the Lexus ES 350 and the 2007/08 Toyota Camry, but also if you own a Toyota Prius, Avalon, RAV4 and Tacoma, make sure you check if your floor-mats are properly are properly secured. The most dangerous situations are those occurred at the Lexus ES 350 because the car has push-button ignition, so if you have any troubles you can’t just turn the engine off by turning the key. The floor-mats will be replaced in November.

was invloved in a car accident in april 2005. I had mt seat belt on and was rear ended and the car that was in front of me, I had it and the door key had puntured my knee. Also, I had my seat belt on. So becarefull out there. Emmanuel Makryllos
Considering that it’ s Nissan’ s first try at this vehicle, I think they have done a great job. The Roadfly team put a good chunk of miles on our test car in what amounted to one workday, and had no real complaints after prolonged seat time in its no- nonsense interior. With a starting MSRP of just 19,250 and a top end of less than 28K, it should pull a good amount of buyers desiring something a bit more organic and exciting than RAV4, CR- V, and the Saturn Vue.
Now, I know why I hit the car in front of me. I thought, couldn’t figurs it out untill now. I know I didn’t hit the gas peddal. But, the car did move foward. Thank You Toyota!!!!!
