The most affordable hybrid available in the United Kingdom is the Toyota Yaris Hybrid which costs from 14,995 pounds and it is already available on order, before deliveries start in July. As you might remember, the car was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show and has a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that produces 99 hp, linked to an electric motor.

The Japanese automaker said that the car is capable of returning 80.7 mpg UK and has CO2 emissions of only 79 g/km, while the top-spec T Spirit versions return 76 mpg UK and CO2 emissions of 85 g/km. This means that the Toyota Yaris Hybrid is exempt from the London Congestion Charge and it also qualifies for free road tax.

Customers are able to choose from one of the three trim levels available: T3, T4 and T Spirit. The entry-level version features a CVT automatic transmission, ABS, seven airbags, front electric windows and dual-zone air-conditioning system. The more expensive T4 rides on 15-inch alloy wheels and comes with LED lights, front fog lamps, rear-view camera, body-colored door mirrors and handles, along with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

As for the top-spec Toyota Yaris Hybrid T Spirit, this comes with 16-inch alloys and comes with goodies such as part-leather upholstery, all round electric windows, automatic wipers and headlights, cruise control and also a rear spoiler.
